Boarding Policies

To insure the health of all pets in our care it is imperative for every animal to be current with the following vaccines and free from all parasites:

Cats - Are required to be up to date on Rabies & Distemper, and have had a negative fecal exam within 6 months.

Dogs: Are required to be up to date on Rabies, Distemper, Canine Influenza, and Bordetella updated within the last 6 months. We also require each dog to have had a negative fecal result within the last 6 month, to insure they are free of Intestinal parasites.

Each patient will receive a Capstar to kill fleas, which is taken orally and will stay in the animals system for 24 hours. There is no adverse effect to your animal if you use any other flea control products. Capstar is priced by weight of the animal.

Capstar charges for patients from

2lbs - 25lbs = $4.40 / 25lbs and over = $4.80

Each patient in our boarding facility is treated as if they were our own, and we take every precaution when it comes to their health and safety. We reserve the right to begin treatment immediately in the event of and emergency and will make every effort to contact the owner once the animal is stable. If a situation arises that is a concern, but not considered an emergency by the doctor we will then contact the owner before any treatment.

The boarding agreement can be downloaded. You can have this completed and signed before dropping your pet off for boarding. Please read it entirely and sign. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

Bedding - Blankets are provided for your pet's comfort, and due to daily washing any bedding that you would like to bring, will need to be laundered each daily. March Animal Hospital will not be held responsible for bedding that is not laundry safe.

Dishes - We supply metal feeding dishes that are cleaned and sterilized daily. If your pet has special dishes you would like to bring. Please be sure they are dishwasher safe, or can tolerate high temperature cleaning.

We are confident that your pet will be comfortable during his/her stay with us. Julia and her team of TLC specialist will take extra special care of your family friend.
